When researching a property, sites such as RightMove and Zoopla can be used to search via a post code, to see when a property was last advertised for sale and when it was last sold, as well details of the property.

So, as an example, using the known address of the former Prime Minister Liz Truss, of 52 Greenwich South Street, Greenwich, London, SE10 8UN, you can search the post code on RightMove and Zoopla and see that this is a 4 Bed, Mid Terraced, Freehold Property, which was last sold in June 2006 for a reported price of £751,500 and that the estimated value of it is now between about £1.54 & £1.88million.

Quite often these type of sites will also show when a property has been advertised for sale, but not sold, along with the estate agents write-up and images for the property. This can be really useful, especially if you are researching the owner occupier of a property, as it may give a recent view inside their property, as well as a look at their lifestyle and assets etc. The below was selected at random, as a good training example.
