When researching a property, as well as doing a properly structured search on a Search Engine, there are a number of useful online resources and sites, which can be used, which may identify the property as linked to useful information, which you might not have located otherwise. Many of these are business related and are listed on the Company Related Sites of our website, and they allow you to search an address or post code, to see what Companies or Directors are linked to an address. These are useful as they may indicate when someone has Directorships under different versions of their name at an address, or work from a residential address.
So, as an example, using the known address of the former Prime Minister Liz Truss, of 52 Greenwich South Street, Greenwich, London, SE10 8UN, you can search the post code on a VAT checker site such as at vat-search.co.uk & vat-search.eu and they will return details of any companies linked to the address searched.
Other sites & resources include the ones operate by the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK and the Advanced Search page on the UK Companies House site, where you can search for linked businesses via a post code. And Credit Safe, which is a paid for site, where you can for Limited and Non Limited companies via a post code, and for Directors by a partial name and post code.
Sites such as fixmystreet.com allow you to search via post code, to see what issues, such as pot holes, fly tipping and dog fouling, have been reported to the appropriate local council etc, often along with linked images, which may be useful, as it can be current.
This information is all publicly available and is used here only as a training aide, to demonstrate the type of additional information which can be freely located about an individual and their property.
