2024 OSINT Website Updates

This page displays the updates with details of any new OSINT / i3 techniques and resources and any new links to useful sites that we have added to our website during 2024.

December 2024
We have noticed that now both Bing & Yahoo seem to have removed Cached from their search results, like Google, so Cached now only seems available on Yandex, where it is referred to as Saved Copy.

I've just had to access some Land Registry Title Documents and they have gone up from £3 to £7 which is quite an increase when you have to do quite a few of them for a report, and looks like they are limiting some historic data, so always try to work out when your subject was linked to property, checking when it has been bought and sold and who is linked to any Planning Applications, with the details and links listed on the Property Related page on our OSINT / i3 website.

I've updated the YouTube page on our OSINT / i3 website, adding some new useful OSINT links & techniques.

I've updated the Threads page on our OSINT / i3 website, adding some new useful OSINT links & techniques, including details on Account ID Numbers, accessing the exact Date & Time a Post was sent and who has Liked a Post.

I've updated the Facebook pages on our OSINT / i3 website, as it appears that the Facebook Hack Dump site is no longer available on its previous Onion site.

I've updated the BlueSky / BSky page on our OSINT / i3 website, adding some new useful OSINT links & techniques, including details on obtaining a BlueSky / BSky Account ID Number, accessing the exact Date & Time a Post was sent, who has Liked a Post, and how to access large versions of an accounts Profile Image and Background Image.

I've updated the OnlyFans page on our OSINT / i3 website, adding some new useful OSINT links & techniques, including details on obtaining an OnlyFans Account ID Number and the date an account was created, and accessing large versions of an accounts Profile Image and Background Image.

I gave an interview to the Head of Press at Locate International, about my time with the organisation, which has been published on their website under the heading of Building a Legacy in OSINT: Neil Smith's Journey with Locate International.

I've added some more details to the Instagram & Profile Image Related Details pages of our OSINT / i3 website, detailing how to use the Developer Tools / F12 function to obtain a large version of the profile image.

I've added details for the ARIN - Requesting a WhoWas Report Service to the Domains & IP's page on our OSINT / i3 website. The ARIN - Requesting a WhoWas Report Service is another way to obtain details of a Domains Registrant, which can often be very useful during an investigation.

I've updated quite a few pages on our OSINT / i3 website, updating a few of the links, adding some links to some new useful online sites and removing a few old dead links.

I've updated the Creating Online ID's - Sock Puppets, Fake Names & False Or Discreet Personas page of our OSINT / i3 website, updating a few links and adding some links to a few useful online guides and a link to the spreadsheet.

I've updated the Archive & Cached Related Sites & Links page of our OSINT / i3 website, as it looks like Google has finally killed off and removed its Cached functions but don't forget that sites like Bing & Yandex still display the Cached / Saved Copy in their search results.

I've added a link for 2Chat - WhatsApp Checker to the WhatsApp section on the Messenger Apps page on our OSINT / i3 website. 2Chat - WhatsApp Checker lets you check a mobile number to see if it linked to a WhatsApp account, returns any signature line and gives you access to a large version of any public profile image, which is useful given WhatsApp's new Privacy policy, which stops you taking screenshots of profile images on your smartphone.

I've updated the Instagram page of our OSINT / i3 website, removing a few old dead links and adding some new useful links, including details & links for turning an Instagram Account ID Number into an Instagram Account Name.

I've added a link for osint.rocks to the Email Related Sites & Mobile & Phone Related Sites pages on our OSINT / i3 website. osint.rocks is a useful, free & easy access online resource to search email addresses and mobile numbers to see if they are linked to any online accounts & apps, without having to install sites like Ghunt & Holehe.

I've updated the Instagram and the Python Tools pages of our OSINT / i3 website, with details of Toutatis, an Instagram OSINT tool, by Palenath, which allows you to extract additional information from Instagram accounts, such as any linked public & obfuscated email addresses & mobile numbers and more, which are not normally visible when viewing the desktop version of an Instagram account.

I've added a new page and details, which can be accessed from the Motor Vehicle Related Sites page of our OSINT / i3 website. The new page is at UK Driving Licences Explained and it sets out details of how UK Driving Licence Numbers are made up and how they can be read to understand the Licence Holders Name, Sex (identified gender) and Date of Birth.

I've updated the CryptoCurrency Related Sites page of our OSINT / i3 website, adding a few new useful links.

I've updated the Anonymizers, VPN's & VM's and the Maps & Location Related Sites pages of our OSINT / i3 website, adding a few new useful links and getting rid of a few old dead links.

I've added a new link for lolarchiver to the X / Twitter Account Name & Bio Changes And Archive Links section on the X / Twitter page of our OSINT / i3 website. This new addition to lolarchiver, which is a paid subscription service, allows you to search a X / Twitter account for name and bio changes between 2011 and 2023. And if you haven't come across lolarchiver before, it is a really useful OSINT resource and well worth the money.

I've added a new link to the Political Sites section on the Favorites page of our OSINT / i3 website. Consolidate is a useful site which as well as showing an MP's Register of Interests it also allows searching for who has given donations to individual Politicians and Political Parties in the UK.

I've added a new page and details, which can be accessed from the Motor Vehicle Related Sites page of our OSINT / i3 website. The new page is at UK Motor Vehicle Research Details and sets out how online research can be undertaken into UK Registered Motor Vehicles, which can be used to locate details which may help you to understand more about the vehicle.

A quick update on X / Twitter, they have just made an accounts Likes Private, which is annoying and doesn't help us much but don't worry as there are always new OSINT tools & techniques being made available to help locate other useful intelligence.

I've added a link to OSINT UK on the front page of our OSINT / i3 website. OSINT UK is the brainchild of Nathaniel, from OSINT Industries and has been formed to help create a UK OSINT Community.

I've added a new page and details, which can be accessed from the Genealogy - Births, Deaths, Marriages and Wills & Probate Sites page of our OSINT / i3 website. The new page is on UK Birth, Death & Marriage Research Details and sets out how research can be undertaken to identify close family members for an individual.

I've made a few changes to my OSINT / i3 website, including adding some links, so users of the website who would like to make a donation, via PayPal & Ko.Fi can easily help contribute to the costs of running & updating it.

I've added some more details to the Profile Image Related Details page of our OSINT / i3 website, with details on obtaining a larger profile image from a Spotify account holders page.

Added a link to the Company Related Sites for a new page on our OSINT / i3 website for UK Company OSINT Research Advice, with details on Obtaining A Company Directors Date Of Birth and Are Any Companies or Businesses Operating From An Address. I will add more details to this page soon.

I've added some links to sites which allow you to access & view Dark Web onion sites from a standard browser. These links are on the Dark Web Sites page on our OSINT / i3 website. Using these sites I've also added some new links to access the Facebook Account Hack Dump sites on the Facebook General Links & Useful Sites page on our OSINT / i3 website, which maybe useful for people who are restricted from access the Dark Web.

Made a few small changes to the website, with a few new links for Channel Islands & the Isle of Man on the Company Related Sites, Genealogy Related Sites & the Property Related Sites pages of our OSINT / i3 website.

Made a few small changes to the front page of our website, including adding a link for OSINTIA, which is a community for Open Source Intelligence professionals.

Made some changes to the TikTok page of our OSINT / i3 website and added a section called Viewing A TikTok Account - Desktop Browser v Smartphone App, as if you view a TikTok account on a Smartphone App then you may see additional links under the bio area, such as for a linked Instagram or YouTube account, which might not be visible under the bio area if viewed on a Desktop Browser. Also when viewing an accounts Followers / Followings on a Smartphone App you can search within them, which is not an option when accessed via a Desktop Browser.

I've added a link for an Bouncer on the Facebook Account ID Numbers, Instagram, TikTok & X / Twitter pages on our OSINT / i3 website. Bouncer is a simple yet powerful bookmarklet that helps you quickly retrieve a users Account ID Number from popular social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & X / Twitter with just one click.

I've added a link to molfar.com under the Useful International Company Information / Business Tools heading on the Company Related Sites page of our OSINT / i3 website. molfar.com is a useful site, with links to different business registers around the world.

Really annoying that OneMillionTweetMap appears to be no longer working, meaning that there are now no longer any free online services showing the locations of X / Twitter posts. So I've updated the X / Twitter page of our OSINT / i3 website.

Added a link to www.bigdomaindata.com under the Reverse (Pre-GDPR) Whois Details Linked To Domain Names, Registrants And An E-Mail Addresses heading on the Domain Names & IP Addresses page of our OSINT / i3 website. BigDomainData is a useful free resource for obtaining the full Pre-GDPR Whois registration details for a Domain Name.

It is really annoying that Google Cache has now been removed from the returned search results. There is an article about it Here. For now Google Cache can still be accessed from the Resurrect Pages Add-On and there are easy to access Cached results still available on Bing & Yandex.

Added a page called Things To Record & Research On A Social Media Account to our OSINT / i3 website, to help people who aren't regular OSINT users, to understand the different areas that can be used on a social media site to help progress an investigation.

Added a page called Developer Tools to our OSINT / i3 website, to help those not used to using the Developer Tools techniques.

Updated the TikTok Related Sites & Links page on our OSINT / i3 website, with a few new details.

I've added a link for an Interactive Map Of all Foreign Entities Holding English/Welsh Real Estate under the Land Registry / Property Ownership Related Sites heading on the Property Related Sites page on our OSINT / i3 website. This Interactive Map Of all Foreign Entities Holding English/Welsh Real Estate is a really useful searchable map showing individual properties in England & Wales owned by Foreign Entities as of January 2024.

Updated the LinkedIn Related Sites & Links page on our OSINT / i3 website, with a few new links.

Added two new pages to our OSINT / i3 website, the first is for Useful OnlyFans Related Sites & Links and the second is for Useful BlueSky / BSky Related Sites & Links, with details on obtaining additional information when researching these sites & accounts.

I've made changes to the Facebook Marketplace Research page of our website adding some more details, some of which we have recently used successfully in a live investigation.

I've made some changes to the Email page on our website, moving a section and links to a new page on our website at Email Linked Free Web Space, which really dates to a time before social media, where many people used the free web space linked to their e-mail addresses and their Internet Service Provider, to upload family details & photos and run club websites etc, and as these were different days many people were more unguarded in the content they posted. Whilst these sites may no longer be in use, with many of the Internet Service Providers no longer trading or having changed names, many of these sites are still accessible via archive sites such as at www.archive.org and as such this may still be a useful investigative technique to know about, even if rarely used.
